Ripple Pretty Much Confirms an IPO. “It’s A Natural Evolution For Our Company”

This morning Brad Garlinghouse had a sponsored interview session with the Wall Street Journal at Davos 2020 and was approximately 2 hours long. There are no live stream links of the event and at the time of writing this article there have been no pre-recorded versions uploaded either.

However, Ripple executives who attended the event alongside Brad Garlinghouse have been tweeting quotes from him, and one was major.

SVP of Product at Ripple, Asheesh Birla tweets:

“In the next 12 months, you’ll see IPOs in the crypto/blockchain space. We’re not going to be the first and we’re not going to be the last, but I expect us to be on the leading side… it’s a natural evolution for our company.” –@bgarlinghouse at #WEF20

Ripple much just said they plan on going Public in the future. Which makes sense because in December of 2019 Ripple had there largest funding round yet called Series-C which is the last step before a company can go public. I certainly wouldn’t expect it anytime soon i would expect it in 1-2 years.

Ripple going public would be a PR move, they would be mentioned on mainstream media more often, and especially if the stock performs very well there could be a lot of buzz around it as the new tech stock that is booming which would inevitably lead more into the XRP ecosystem.

Really looking forward to the day when they IPO.
